10 Day Camping Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your friendly guide will greet you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Take time to relax after your journey, enjoy the calm surroundings, and receive a short safari briefing to prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater Rim

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop at a scenic viewpoint along the way, then continue through the lush highlands. Arrive at Simba Campsite on the crater rim by afternoon. From here, you'll enjoy dramatic sunset views over the vast caldera—a truly breathtaking sight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Northern Serengeti (Kogatende Region)

Start the day early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a short but rewarding game drive. The crater is rich in wildlife, including lions, zebras, elephants, and rare black rhinos. Afterward, begin the scenic drive across the Serengeti plains toward the northern Serengeti, arriving near the Mara River in time for a sunset game drive.

Day 4: Full Day in Northern Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring the remote northern Serengeti, where the Great Migration passes through in August. Search for large herds of wildebeest and zebra, and with luck, you might witness a dramatic river crossing at the Mara River. The region is also home to crocodiles, big cats, elephants, and beautiful landscapes.

Day 5: Full Day in Northern Serengeti

Enjoy another full day of game drives in the Kogatende region, following migration trails and exploring different routes along riverbanks and open plains. The peace and isolation of this area make it ideal for adventurous travelers looking to escape the crowds.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti

After breakfast, drive slowly south toward the Central Serengeti, one of the most wildlife-rich areas in Africa. Game viewing continues en route, and you may spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards around the Seronera Valley. Arrive at your campsite and enjoy another night under the stars.

Day 7: Full Day in Central Serengeti

Spend the day exploring the heart of the Serengeti National Park. This region is famed for its classic savannah landscapes, dotted with acacia trees, kopjes, and large herds of herbivores. Your guide will help you track predators and share fascinating insights about the ecosystem.

Day 8: Serengeti – Tarangire National Park

Today, you’ll leave the Serengeti behind and head toward Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets. The journey is long, but scenic. You’ll arrive in the afternoon and enjoy a short game drive in this beautiful park known for its giant baobab trees and elephants.

Day 9: Full Day in Tarangire National Park

Spend the day exploring Tarangire, a quieter park that is especially vibrant in the dry season. Large herds of elephants gather around the Tarangire River, and you’ll also spot giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and possibly lions and leopards. The peaceful setting offers a great contrast to the Serengeti.

Day 10: Tarangire – Arusha – Departure

Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast before driving back to Arusha. Depending on your departure time, you may have a chance for some last-minute souvenir shopping or lunch in town before your transfer to the airport.
